The regulatory environment for GIRPI systems changes frequently, because requirements defined in regulations are always applied scrupulously. GIRPI’s objective is to guarantee perfect safety for the main contractor and the fitter.

A few examples :
AFNOR produces French standards.
The standard is a French, European or international reference document that is produced collectively by all parties concerned (manufacturers, users, public authorities, technical bodies, etc.).
The purpose of a standard is to impose objective and measurable obligations for results and performances. It specifies all the characteristics of a product necessary for the usage considered.
The quality mark:
The NF (French standard) mark is a French mark certifying conformity of products and services under conditions defined by AFNOR. It is a certification.
Products with the NF mark are inspected regularly by competent and impartial bodies (LNE, CSTB (Scientific and Technical Building Centre) …).
The NF mark affixed on products provides an efficient tool to help to make a clear and objective choice, facilitating choosing products suitable for the type of work to be done.
ATECs:
The CSTB issues ATECs (Technical Recommendations) for products for which there is no standard or DTU completely defining performances and calculation and installation rules. They are products that have not yet been standardized since they are new or used in an innovative way that has not yet been standardized.
ATECs are documents for which the characteristics of products related to satisfaction of regulatory requirements, usability and durability have been evaluated. ATECs are issued for a limited period, and at the end of this period the file must be examined again.
